Burren Plumbing was founded by George Staples, a licensed plumber with over 16 years of experience across residential, commercial and construction plumbing. George holds his Certificate III & IV in Plumbing, Drainage and Gas Fitting, along with backflow prevention, confined space, first aid and working at heights certifications. When you book with us, you’re dealing directly with George, not a call centre
Yes. Burren Plumbing is fully licensed (Lic: 263313C) and carries public liability insurance. You can verify our licence status any time through Service NSW.
We provide upfront pricing before any work begins, with no hidden fees and $0 call out fees. Once George has assessed the job, whether that’s over the phone or on site, you’ll know exactly what you’re paying before we start.

Yes. Blocked drains are one of the most common jobs we handle across the Southern Highlands, usually caused by tree root intrusion, grease and debris build-up, or old and damaged pipework. We use CCTV drain cameras to pinpoint the exact cause and high-pressure water jetting to clear stubborn blockages without damaging your pipes. Read more on our blocked drains page.
Recurring blockages usually point to a deeper issue, such as tree roots, a collapsed section of pipe, or ageing infrastructure. A CCTV drain inspection lets us see exactly what’s happening underground so we can recommend a lasting fix rather than a temporary one.

This depends on your property’s risk factors, such as irrigation systems, pools, or certain commercial fittings, along with your local council’s requirements. Many commercial properties and strata buildings are required by law to have a tested device. George can assess your property and confirm whether one is needed.
